BBC's 2026 Proms season to feature a Prog Prom for the very first time!

The music of Genesis, Jethro Tull and Emerson, Lake and Palmer is set to reverberate around the hallowed walls of London's Royal Albert Hall once more as the BBC has finally included progressive rock in its ever-expanding season of the 131st Proms (and the 99th since the BBC has been involved).

Zoals ik al eerder heb gepost in dit topic, er wordt een BBC Proms: progrock georganiseerd in de Royal Albert Hall. 18 juli deze zomer. Orkestrale versies van stukken van ELP, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Mike Oldfield, Renaissance en vele meer zullen worden gepresenteerd. Nog nooit eerder heeft BBC Proms zo'n dergelijke eerbetoon aan progressieve rock gedaan, dus dit is grandioos nieuws. Voor mensen zoals ik die er niet bij kunnen zijn, kun je het luisteren op BBC Radio 3.

Ik hoop dat ze een orkestrale symfonische versie van Tarkus zullen spelen.
